Heidi and Kenzie wanted their engagement aesthetic to enrapture all of the feelings that they both have about Autumn.  Not only do they both love the season, but they became captivated by one another amidst the fall feels!!  They both wanted a location that would visually tell their love story; the heartwarming and instant spark that came upon meeting over three years ago.

This year however, Utah has been severely lacking luster and seemed to be disappearing at every turn.  We have had rain, snow in the mountains (which essentially disintegrated all of the fall in certain areas) and majority of the Autumn vibrancy has been brown and bland.  After weeks of searching and waiting we finally had the colors in the valley start to change the week leading up to this session!

I have to say, that I feel so unbelievably joyous about this session.  They were so easy to photograph because of how natural they are together.  But more than that, I feel such immense amounts of joy, happiness and pure love for both of these amazing ladies. I LOVE that they wanted me to capture these memories for them; even more than that I BEGGED for them to let me!

Kenzie and I actually grew up together in school!  We were in a small friends group and went our separate ways in High School.  We kept in touch via social media, and she still continued to reach out to me especially in my times of need!  I will never forget her reaching out to me via a direct message when my grandmother had passed away.  We hadn't talked in a long time but she was such a sweet and loving with her outstretched hand in a very depressing time in my life.  She offered her condolences and said that if I ever needed anything? To just ask.  If I needed someone to talk to? That she was there for me.  I am so lucky to not only have her as a friend? But a sister.
Heidi became my official sister on my wedding day when I married her brother, my forever sweetheart Warren.  She always treated me as a member of the family.  Her and my other sister, Kaijsa, were so kind and accepting of me as Warren's girlfriend, fiance and then wife.  They made the transition into having in-laws so easy and wonderful.  I truly am the luckiest lady to have the in-laws that I do! Parents, brothers and sisters.
I love you Heidi and Kenzie! I feel so immensely lucky to have you as family!
We celebrated with them on November 3rd overlooking the amazing wonders and awe inspiring cliffs of Dead Horse Point in Moab, Utah.  With their very intimate group of close family and friends, we all watched as they became officially married.  I definitely (and with no shame!) shed many many MANY tears of joy, happiness and had so many genuine proud sister moments that kept tumbling down the pipeline!!
Congratulations to you both Mrs. and Mrs. Quist on your marriage on November 3rd 2018!  I am SO PROUD of you.  I am the luckiest to be your sister by marriage, but even more so? By the amazing love you both willingly give me as not just a sister-in-law, but as a sister.
