It’s just not how this Salt Lake County and Davis County Utah Photographer does her sessions! ;) When I started my business almost three years ago, I thought to myself… I know what the typical session looks like; I want to my clients FEEL and KNOW that Kaitlynn Quist Photography is not just a typical Utah photographer session…
I knew that I wanted extreme quality over quantity attached to my business name. I ensure that every session is extra special for EVERYONE! Not a one size fits all! I am going to answer all the FAQ’s I get on the regular for today’s blog post! These are questions I get REGULARLY and I am here to help clear up any and all confusion for you!
Q: What are the packages for?
The reason I provide these options? SERVICE. SERVICE. SERVICE, SERVICE!!! I provide an array of options for prints, albums AND the opportunity to purchase all digital edits because everyone has Individual preferences and priorities.
As I stated earlier, I believe that a photography session should NEVER be a one size fits all. Ever!
Q: What do I wear?
I have done immense amounts of research to make it simple; I send every client that books their session my Welcome packet that includes my Style Guide on How to Dress to Impress! I share some of my tips I give to all of my clients on my blog post called “Why Your Photographer should provide a Style Guide”. Check it out here!
Q: I don’t know what I want for my aesthetic/look I want for the session!
This is an FAQ I get frequently and I love this questions! I will ask you specific questions to determine what direction you want the photos to go! What feeling you want behind all the photos? We'll discuss the different options between Outdoor, Indoor studios and rural (nature/natural elements) versus urban (buildings, streets, pillars, marble, stairs) surroundings. It becomes easier to use the style guide once we hone in on the specific location! Utah has so many options for aesthetic; it’s easy to find great locations close by!
Q: What happens at our session?
I make sure that we know each other through messaging, phone calls, and just all around getting to know YOU before we even meet! When we meet up, my goal is to make you feel like you’re meeting an old friend who you’re excited to see again! We laugh, I tell you how amazing you are (because YOU ARE!) I compliment you on everything I love about our session and will help direct you as needed! I love having a variety of candid as well as posed photos for your gallery!
After the session I will do the back end editing part of my job! I will cull the images (look at every single picture we took and picking the best ones for you), edit and make them perfect for you. So much of me and my time goes directly into editing your sessions. I ensure quality, fast turnaround time, and the most important part? Every single image is individually curated, edited and hand-picked for you; no presets or shortcuts ever involved!
Once finished? I meet up with YOU in person (or via face call) to allow you to PICK which photos you want!
Q: I want to purchase a print, album! Now what do I do?
For prints we discuss which pictures you want printed and then wait for a happy package in the mail!! For albums I will put together the entire album from scratch, and once finished I will send you sneak peeks of all pages. Once you love the final product I send it for print and then again, you wait for a happy package!
I work specifically with printing studios that give the highest quality of prints and albums. I also shopped around for a LONG time to find the best quality of print, mats to place prints in, and extremely high quality albums ALL for the best price! You CAN have great quality without sacrificing your wallet, and that is why I take care of all of this for you! Walmart, Costco, and Walgreen's?? Ain't got nothin' on this girls dedication to your images!
