How many times do you stress about what to wear in your everyday?  Whether that be a family party, holiday event, birthday, date night or any kind of gathering, we all want to put our best foot forward!  Being invested in our outward appearance brings out our internal feelings of confidence, self love and poise.  When we look good, we feel good, right!?

I know many of my clients aren't entirely sure of how to style their selves, their significant other or their families for a session!  Especially when it comes to the constant changing weather here in Utah. Most don't know what exactly photographs well, or what color schemes work well together... That's where my professional photography skills come in to help!

I have researched and tried the most efficient way to share my accumulated style knowledge with all of my clients.  From sharing Pinterest boards, to clients sending me ideas, to compiling and sending specific color scheme templates to each client! I've merged all these ideas into my  style guide for how to dress to impress!
I'm going to share three of my easy tips in my style guide with you all today!!
Tip 1: Start with what you LOVE!
Do you have a certain color that you really love to wear? Wear it! Do you love dresses? Wear one! Being comfortable and confident in what you're wearing will make a HUGE difference in how you feel and how relaxed you are in front of the camera.

Tip 2: Coordinate; Don't MATCH!
Don't fall into the trap that you all need to be wearing the EXACT same blue shirt. Your relationships will shine brightly in any photo no matter what colors you are wearing! By adding variation with colors and/or patterns, it will add the depth and interest to your photos!

Tip 3:  Things to avoid!
Neon/jewel tone colors, and wearing all white. White tends to wash out most people's skin tones and isn’t most flattering. It is best to choose a different color as your primary base color!! Neon or jewel tone colors will cast bright colors onto your skin in photos, and can make it difficult to capture your natural skin tones.
There you have it friends! I have found that these guides are not just a great tool for my clients, but help with all future photos you will take! Whether that being done with a professional photographer or a quick family photo at a party.
The most important thing to remember, when you look good? You feel good!!  When you look like you're ready to conquer your day, you FEEL like you can conquer your day!
I hope these tips will help you feel comfortable, confident, and ready for your next photo opportunity!
