I have known the Kirby Family for a little over a year now and I was honored to capture their candid family photos! They are our next door neighbors in our condo, so we share one giant wall (talk about knowing your neighbor! Haha!). They have two sweet daughters, Vivian and Helen! When they first moved in next door, Vivan was under a year old and was the quietest 1 year old I had ever heard... Seriously! They are such well-behaved girls just like their amazing mom! Russ and Sarah were the first people to invite us over for dinner and introduce themselves to us. Sarah and Russel Kirby are always extremely generous and understanding.
Our session was out at the Utah State Capitol Building; one of my absolute favorite places to shoot! With all the fires going on here in Utah and being carried from out of stat, we had some amazing dispersed light to work with. This makes for great sessions especially in Salt Lake City, Utah!
Vivan did so well and I loved capturing her being in her own world! I loved when kids have amazing energy! Vivian was also very kind to (hesitantly) let her little sister borrow her blanket ;D
Helen was so amazing and slept for the first part of our session, so we could make sure we got some pictures of her sister. When it was her turn? She was bright eyed, wiggling with joy and even gave me a smile every once in a while! By the end in the 90 degree weather everyone was dripping in sweat, but it is always always, always worth it to be able to serve my clients and give them the photos they deserve!
