Grayson and Ashley Falck just celebrated their first year of living in Colorado this past November 2019!  They are lifelong friends of mine and believed in me (towards the beginning of my career) to capture their beautiful October wedding day in 2017!

Last year they celebrated their one year anniversary with another beautiful session with me! (Linked HERE)  During that session we discussed careers, life paths and their interest in moving to bigger and better opportunities.  One of those looked to be a potential BIG move to Colorado for Grayson's welding career.

Grayson & Ashley took a weekend trip (shortly after that session) to visit and felt SO DRAWN to be in Colorado that they moved not long after.   Grayson & Ashley are excited and are planning for their future here in Colorado. I am SO excited and invested in supporting them in all their new adventures!!
For our sunrise session, we were hoping to get snow, but ended up with complete overcast (my fave to shoot in TBH).  We wanted more cozy & snowy vibe, but seeing as Colorado will snow 16 inches one day & have it all melted the next, we scheduled the session and settled for whatever came our way.
I always arrive early to every single session to scout the location for many reasons. Each and every location is different at all times of the day. The light is constantly changing and each day is TOTALLY different.  Regardless of whether or not I've shot there before, I always come prepared to scout, search and survey FOR THAT DAY.
With that being said, I was able to survey Grasso Park with one quick glance and pick out all of the spots I wanted to shoot in in about 30 seconds.  It's a very small park packed with cool rustic buildings & farm equipment!

It was actually REALLY nice to have so many options in a close proximity!  We were able to fit a lot into this mini session including outfit changes, add some coziness with the blanket and change up the scenery with 10 paces one way or another.

I feel it important to note that it's totally okay not to know your aesthetic.
Many people simply don't have a preference, or specifically want outdoors and that is totally fine! Not every location is going to be perfect for each session, and not every part has to be perfect. Not everyone has a clear idea (like the Falck's do in knowing they have a country/rustic aesthetic)!
The most important part? YOU & what your comfortable with.

I am so grateful for their CONSTANT support! They are such a joy to work with and I love the relationships and connections we have made together; ALL of this happend due to their original wedding photographer cancelling last minute on them.
EVERYTHING happens for a reason, and I am so grateful for Ashley & Grayson.  They truly share such a beautiful PURE love & tenderly affectionate relationship.
They are a PERFECT MATCH for one another & I ALWAYS appreciate my couples vulnerability and allowing me a small peek into their world.
