Cecille messaged me via my 'Contact Me' page looking to set up a winter themed session. Reason being? Purely to celebrate their life journey together and get their first professional photography session as a couple! (My Photographer heart leaps with joy!) We gained a lot of snow over the winter but it melted quickly...
To our great surprise (and in usual Utah Fashion) we've had many randommm snow storms in the Salt Lake City Valley AFTER the winter months! One of those big storms left us with tons of fresh, clean snow; the perfect set up for our session!
They wanted the session to be held at Hidden Hollow Trail; a local park that they love and take their two big puppies regularly to all year! I had never been but knew that I wanted to make their first ever experience with me as unique and special for them as they deserved!
I typically scout out a location 45 minutes before each session time, but if I have never been before I take a full hour of scouting before the shoot. I search for perfect light in lots of parts of the location and make a mental plan of layout to ensure efficient shooting time with plenty of time to spare at the end!
One if my absolute favorite favorite FAVORITE sessions (yes TRIPLE faves!) are always lifestyle couples sessions!
Aidan & Cecille had some specific places they wanted to be photographed in and a few silly poses that they definitely wanted included. They allowed me to guide them through poses and they took care of the rest! I absolutely love giving small directions and letting the lifestyle of the moment take my couples attention.
I feel genuinely lucky to be involved in capturing Aidan & Cecille's special relationship. These two are both extremely genuine and share such a true love and adoration for one another. Their love is physically palpable! I truly am so appreciative of this amazing couple; they supported me and loved my work & artistry from moment one! They have been so generous to me and they are some of the most positive and best supporters. I can't wait to follow along and for future opportunities photograph more if their life together!
