I met Rob and Ashley Olson at a wedding I shot last year so I have only known them for a short while! They are currently living in Farmington, UT and are loving where they are at! Our session was at Tunnel Springs Park in North Salt Lake Utah.
This session was actually scheduled back in April, but due to some unforeseen circumstances we were able to move the session until this fall!
Ethan, their three year old, was rushed to the hospital in April with all sorts of rashes, symptoms. He was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease called HSP. Thankfully they were able to get him on the proper medication and steroids to get him back on track but this took up a large portion of this family’s spring and summer!
The weather for this session was absolutely perfect. A little on the chilly side, but nothing that a long sleeve wouldn’t fix! We were lucky enough to have cloud coverage for 90% of the outdoor session which always makes for impeccable light!
The best part of this families session? Letting Sam, Ethan and Hadley explore and do their thing as kids do. They were so easy to work with and so natural as a family in front of the camera! I told Ashley that her adorable kids made me excited to have kids in the future! Truth be told, I feel this way after every family shoot because all the kids are so darn cute!

I am so extremely grateful for this family and that we were able to make this session happen for them! Life may try to sway and dissuade you, but I am always so grateful to serve every family I get the opportunity to photograph.
